Stampathon - stamprageous!

Played with the Mochas yesterday and had way too much fun! The photos are what I did with each teacher... can we do this again... tomorrow?

had done polymer before but not with ink and a stamp.

I am smitten!

This is the box we decorated with Cindy. What a neat idea!

Then we moved on to cards. I don't think I was being a very good follower, but heh - love the results. And even better - Cindy gave us another packet to make at home!

The scarf we did with Thea may not come out very clear in the photo - but it has different variations of color and intensity that are unbelievable!
Thia is the by product from the scarf .

This is the paper used to iron out the embossing after we dyed the scarf. Much fun!

OMG! More Postcards!

Here are my latest postcards -the first two were inspired by a group member's piece she did that I just loved. As you see - still in love with the glitter!

strength!

You are Strength
Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement,

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

Beauty by Design

Here is a new fat book I've been working on called Beauty by Design. I had a lot of fun working on it and like the look. I used Adirondack acrylics for the backgrounds.

Been playing around and have two new postcards to add to my repertoire. solo didn't turn out quite like I was hoping, but its colorful. guess turned out better than I thought it would... so you never know!

As you can see, been having fun with my square punch. I found this image and thought it went so well with the background. What am I going to do with it? I don't know!

our obsessions

Since I have been swapping with my favorite Altered Fashion Photo group, I have accumulated so many art pieces, I thought it would be fun to put them all in a book aptly named - our obsessions.

Fun time at Mocha Night!

Patty taught us a new technique... the "behan batik". Photos are of both the original and the cover sheet used when ironing off the wax. The top three photos are the cover sheet and the bottom two are the originals! Interesting thing - I was using gloss 4x6 photo paper... not a real good thing when using extreme heat to remove the wax since the paper has a plastic coating. Mine certainly looked a lot different than those using glossy paper. I actually like the cover sheets better!!!! Lots of fun and I can't wait to do something with these!

This one is called "blend" and the notation states "no matter how hard she tried she always blended in'. Sorry for the flash on the bottom, Would not go away.

This one I tried ala claudine - painted the outfit - came out pretty well.

This one I used punches, adirondack ink, and a great fish stamp plus some cutouts from my fabric fashion mag - LUCKY. I always have fun with that one!

Been busy doing!

Been busy working on my postcard swaps, now have to finish 3 more tip-in pages. These were fun to do. Of coarse anyone who knows me knows I have to have flowers or some nature item in all that I do. These will be going out in the next few months. Can't wait to see what I get back from my fellow swappers!

Summer is coming right?

Another picture from my Florida trip. Today was a rainy, nasty day and I was daydreaming about blue skies, white sand, warm tropical breezes and turqoise water... ah, summer is coming, right?

13 Spring!

In one of my groups we are doing a postcard swap... this is my first that I am mailing out today. First time I really added a lot of glitter - oooh fun! I have to do a bunch more so I better get started!

Back at home!

8 days sure does go by very fast! Especially when each day is packed full with activities and friends and such! Had a fabulous time but ready to get back to the art! This photo was taken in Ft Lauderdale. It was so rough and breezy!

On Vacation!

Will be in Florida for a week or so.

Renew

I loved this purse and used it for years. Only problem is since I used it so much it really didn't look so hot. So with Lumiere paint, I transformed it into a work of art! Can't wait to use it!
