Been Busy!

I joined a swap at the "In our house" Yahoo group. This swap is for extreme inchies with a spring theme. I did this box for the hostess, Suzie, and to house my inchies in. I hope my partners like them!

I have also been busy painting - and here are the two latest. I have also listed them on Etsy.

New Play Toy

Someone told me about Photoshop Express - it's online and it's free! Try it out. I don't have photoshop, so I am very impressed.

Inchie Charms!

These are for a swap on Swap-bot. Start with an inchie then anything goes. A butterfly printed transparency, alcohol inks, adirondack paints on the back, then attached with mini brads, primo flowers, a paperclip, and of coarse fibers for fun!

Newest Etsy painting

I just listed this on etsy. Its an acrylic on canvas board and it was very difficult to get a good shot. I am not religiuos at all, but I really love this image.

3-(C)D Fashion Art-Swap-Bot-"Time to find your mojo"

Here is my newest swap on Swap-bot. It was to do a cd with some sort of fashion image. I had gotten this AOL tin and I started with that. I'm sure you can tell I love bird things. For the cd I used a clear one so the backside of the vinatge dictionary page shows through the front. I hope my swap partner likes her package!

At the bottom there are some dangly things - a "K" for the recipent, a key, a brass tag - create and a brass tag - joy.

Festival March - newest addition to Etsy

This is a new 8x10 canvas board - Festival March. The birds are hand colored and the tree is hand painted. Fun to put together (totally enamored with birds) I painted the leaves with Lumiere so it really sparkles.

Marie... a real doll

I joined a swap where we have to make a paper doll with 3 outfits, and
this is what I came up with! This is Marie - she loves to go to market. Marie loves to dance - anytime, anywhere!
And of coarse, Marie is the queen of the ball!
And I had to make a book to put Marie and all of her outfits in!

I love my new stamp!

These were done for the first swap for our new group on Swap-bot. Like I said, this is my new most favorite stamp. FUN!!!

Triple Crown was triple fun!

Went to the Triple Crown hosted by Paper-potomus last week and had such a fabulous time! We had 3 artists - Robin Beam and Jen Starr and Lance from Rusty Pickle.
I fell in love with my newest stamp (a bird of coarse), got to play with distress inks, stamps, the new ranger white pen, paper, and much more!
Thanks guys!

Happy Valentines Day

Here is the card I made for my mom for Valentines Day - yesterday. I thought she would get a kick out of it (she did). So when I got home from work this is what she had done for me. She always said she couldn't draw a straight line - but I think she did very well. Oh by the way, she's almost 90. Another Grandma Moses? This is certainly going in my memory box!

Postcard swap for Letterheads

I had a hard time coming up with something. I have several old yearbooks and kept looking at them asking for a sign. So this is what I came up with.

Another Etsy Listing

Here's an altered book I just listed on Etsy. The metal front was embossed and distressed and attached to the cover with eyelets. The inside has a niche for hiding secrets! Interested?

100 inchies in 100 days

A swap that I am hosting is due in March, but I'm done! So here it is. There is a piece of vellum in front of each page telling a little bit about the inchies following. The cover inchies are ink and webbing sprays.
These are copper and have been distressed, embossed and inked. Nice dimensional inchies. These were done for a christmas inchie swap - black, gold and white webbing spray, gold paint, christmas stamps.
I had an old calendar book that I scrapped paint on, then embossed stamp.
This was a painting I had done on watercolor paper, then cut up. As you can tell, I was having a problem with my sewing machine.
These were done for a collaborative project that 8 others worked on - it was for 100 inches.

I use a calendar blotter on my desk and this is where I usually wipe off stamps, and inks and such. It always looks cool when they're cut down. I use it alot for ATC backgrounds.
This was a test I had done on cotton towel with inks and stamps.
This was distressed inked paper, embossed stamp.
I hope my partner enjoys this little book!

Cleaning up

Started unmounting my stamps, and I found these keys that I had bought a year or so ago. Decided to put them on etsy. Interested?

I love ATCs

ATCs are the most fun to do. When I first started making collage stuff, I had a real problem making it small. Now I prefer it. I purchased the Seven Gypsies ATC Holder to hold my ATCs in a place that I can see them as opposed to a binder. It really helps when creativity takes a day off! As you can tell, I used book pages in each one.

Spirit House, Frida and Collage

Spent the day just making all kinds of things. Started out with ATCs, then moved to the ones shown here. This collage is for Vintage People with Wings. Going to New Zealand!

These two are for a 4"x4" Frida swap, partners to be chosen soon. These were fun!

This was probably the hardest swap to do - not sure what a spirit house is, but I hope my partner likes it. The front and back pieces are aged copper (both real and fake).
