First UTEE project

So I got my hands on a melting pot and completed my first project. The paper is watercolor paper that was handpainted with bubblewrap, cut into small pieces and dropped each one into clear UTEE. Has a very cool look. For my first time with the melting pot I am quite pleased.

Playing with Mocha and Suze!

Suze had the Mocha Stamp Club play in her studio and boy - did we have fun! Suze gave each of us a blank book and lots of magazines to work with. We were told to just grab 3 pages (without looking) and try to make something out of it. Obviously I used more than 3 but what a great exercise to try and make things flow (?). Had a great time (as always)!!!!!

Not sure if anyone can tell, but most of everything I do is garden related (hence my website Garden-Works.com!). I love all things garden!

Mocha Journal Cover

Had to design a book to hold all my new techniques in - used bubble wrap to texture and a few stamps to add interest. The sunflower is my photo. For the center of the sunflower I used paper glaze and added tiny seeds and pearl ex. Should be just right for my goodies!

Mocha Stamp Club-WOW!

1st time playing with my new fun group-Mocha Stamp Club. Had a fabulous time meeting new playmates and learning new techniques. The first one is an altered photo that had the background scraped, sanded, and color washed, Painted the topiary and pot. Added dictionary meaning for wood and stamped wood you. Great fun!
The second one doesn't look anything like it started. I sanded the background, then painted over. The interesting thing is the background is silver.

This group is so much fun and I can't wait to play more!!!

Butterfly 2

My second try with molding paste and cold wax. I first crumbled up a brown paper bag, distressed it, attached it to a card. The molding paste definitely changed the look of the ink. I added beads to the butterfly since it really needed something to make it pop.

129

Love old furniture and for some reason the numbers 129. Why? I don't know.

Is it real rusted metal?

A glue gun, a/c metal tape and magic metallics - green patina (looks like rust - I think I might have gotten some rust in there). Waxed it to stop the rusting process. Really has some weight to it too!

How I spent my Sunday

Played today with a group of very talented artists led by Kimberly Moore and Suze Weinberg. The project was to make a book about our Muse and everyone did something different - of coarse. Had a great time learning - didn't get further than the cover - so will need to complete at a later time. Can't wait to play more! The title of mine is "Attitude is the Key"!

Butterfly

My first time with Golden Molding Paste-has a nice detail. Turned out pretty good. Also used cold wax and it gives it a nice feel and sheen.
