I've had major issues with my computer - I really hate when that happens! I've been busy with my new favorite - making jewelery. I just put a new necklace on etsy... please take a look. Here is a photo.
I've been doing alot with beads and my soldered pieces. I just can't sit still - always have to be doing something. And not being able to play backgammon on-line has been killing me. Stayed tuned - I will upload more soon.
This church is a photo I took and altered. The background is something I made a long time ago with embossing powder, ink and photo paper (so it melted a bit) and of coarse its altered. Love to alter!
Lisa's picked a fun challenge this week. You've seen this little girl before (she is my favorite) and I added one of my flower photo and made some leaves too. And of coarse it's digital!
Poor Aunt Mary Bush. And she thought she looked fabulous! Just found out that this photo is now the new home page for the month of August for Altered Cab Cards. What a surprise!
Just joined a new group specifically for digital artists. This works better for me since I don't have to use anyone's collage sheets and everyone is digital. The group is Digimation and they have a terrific group of artists. The August challenge is "hope", and this is my entry. What do you think?
Here is this weeks challenge. The bunny and the flowers are my photographs. The flowers weren't very sharp to start, so they have a very soft look to them. Much different from my vintage collages?
Just got the bottle collage from phenomenon1859.etsy.com - she has a terrific selection of digital collages that I've not seen before. Definately need to take a look if you like collage sheets!
Yes, I am loving this program! The more I play - the more I love it. Easier to play with vintage images, then I'll start playing with mine. Stay tuned!
On Go Make Something Lisa Volrath has a challenge to create art inspired by men. I have played with this image of the soldier, but now that I have this new program, I was able to pull all sorts of things in with it. I'm happy with the results.
Bought a new editing program and boy am I having fun with it. The image is from Paper Imagery and the rest is images I have collected. Can't wait to play more!
Don't you just love free sites that give you something wonderful? This is a very cool one - Catalog Card Generator. Try it - you'll like it! Thanks to Arlene who posted it on Paper Imagery Designs.
The group is Paper Imagery Designs and this is one of their images that we were allowed to download (for free) for this challenge. They have terrific images, and a very talented group of artists that share their art with this group. You should check it out!
I couldn't find the cable to download my photos till just about 1/2 hr ago. I looked everywhere - I hate when that happens!
I took 3 classes with Sally Jean Alexander - the queen of solder! This was the 2nd class, little pink houses. There was 24 of us, and each house was totally different! Mine is the first one. We started with putting together the collages, then wrapped then soldered it together. I would love to make more of these! We lined them up and lit them - you really can't see how cool that was. Sally Jean is a fabulous instructor and I learned lots - although it will take a lot of soldering to even be a speck of a talent that she is. Her husband was terrific too! I didn't take any other pictures than these. I did take a bunch of pictures at the beach, early in the morning. Maybe I'll post some later.
I joined a swap at the "In our house" Yahoo group. This swap is for extreme inchies with a spring theme. I did this box for the hostess, Suzie, and to house my inchies in. I hope my partners like them!
I have also been busy painting - and here are the two latest. I have also listed them on Etsy.
These are for a swap on Swap-bot. Start with an inchie then anything goes. A butterfly printed transparency, alcohol inks, adirondack paints on the back, then attached with mini brads, primo flowers, a paperclip, and of coarse fibers for fun!
I just listed this on etsy. Its an acrylic on canvas board and it was very difficult to get a good shot. I am not religiuos at all, but I really love this image.
Here is my newest swap on Swap-bot. It was to do a cd with some sort of fashion image. I had gotten this AOL tin and I started with that. I'm sure you can tell I love bird things. For the cd I used a clear one so the backside of the vinatge dictionary page shows through the front. I hope my swap partner likes her package!
At the bottom there are some dangly things - a "K" for the recipent, a key, a brass tag - create and a brass tag - joy.
This is a new 8x10 canvas board - Festival March. The birds are hand colored and the tree is hand painted. Fun to put together (totally enamored with birds) I painted the leaves with Lumiere so it really sparkles.
