Tim Holtz Weekend

WOW! Loved my two classes at the Queens Ink (what a fabulous store) in Savage Maryland. Tim is a terrific teacher/artist/person. Loved Mario and Patty (Queens Ink) too. I originally signed up for the Assemblage of Flight class but got Curio of Curiosity instead. So happy! Learned zillions of things and have something wonderful to boot. Tim gave us lots of goodies to take home and finish the frame. So generous! This was the first class. Sorry for the reflection - but it is glass you know.

This was the second class. Not finished, but again Tim supplied us with more than enough stuff to complete. If you can take a class with Tim - do it!

More post cards in the mail

This is for a senders choice postcard swap through swap-bot.

Another Postcard Swap on Swap-bot

These are for a swap for one... as you can probably tell, love those butterflies.

Newest Swap-Bot Altered Tags

This is an altered tag swap - all the tags started out on black card stock. I have 2 partners and each will 2 different ones. Hope they like them!

AAARRRRGGGGGHHH

Blogger has taken away the option of leaving a comment!!! I have it enabled but it doesn't show! Anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it? Email me if you can help. Or if you would like to send me a comment.

This strange house really likes flamingos!

Mixed Media Bird with Nest

I bought this phone and was hoping to take it to my class with Tim Holtz next weekend, but unfortunately, we won't be able to do Assemblage of Flight. I had a bird I couldn't figure out what to do with it, so I pulled the phone apart, painted it (a lot), used the wires for the nest, and added quilting pins for the stamen. I think it looks cute... what do you think?

Artistic ATC

Okie dokie - here's another swap on Swap-bot. This time its for artistic art - no stickers, etc. So here are my two... this one is called House Tour. This is the front opened.

This is the inside opened. The recipient is an interior designer.

This is called under the sea. The recipient said she likes blues and greens. This is the front opened.

This is the inside opened.

Newest collage just listed on Etsy

Here is my newest collage - little girl lost - that I just finished. The little girl is actually my aunt taken 90 years ago. She is one of my favorite images to play with. If you are interested in owning this piece - please click on my etsy link.

New Tag and Swap - Wrapped ATC

This is one of 2 tags I got in a yard sale - it started out as a red plastic tag with a clear back. I added lots of paper layers, paint, ink, crackle paint, grungeboard heart and star... The colors aren't as deep as in the photo. Not sure what I will do with it (like most everything I make) but it's fun to look at!

Here is the latest swap - for wrapped ATCs. I love all things bird (of coarse) and here is the ATC I did for my partner. This is closed and wrapped.

Unwrapped.

Open.

Alter Free Postcard

Another swap on Swap-bot is for altering free postcards. I got both these cards at the Flaky Tart in Atlantic Highlands. These cards are from local companies. The first one I did is the last one posted. I forgot to take a before shot. I made sure I did with this one.

This is called home.

This is called odd tomato.

So I take both cards outside so I can spray with a matte finish, and a few minutes later the torrential rains come. Fortunately, the spray worked - neither are worse for it. Just waiting to find out who to send to.

Doodle Postcard for Swap-bot

This is for a doodle swap.

Guess what the recipient's name is?

On an Art Card Roll...

This is fun!

Another Art Card

My latest...

Just Listed on Etsy - Double Sided Collage "Sweet"

Here is my latest listing on Etsy. It's double sided. This is the front.

This is the back.

art card

I love vintage book pages, Ranger distress crackle paint and ink, any thing birds, and my watercolor crayons.

Make Your Own Postcard

This was a very cool swap on Swap-bot. You/your partner send an envie to their partner, and that person needs to make a postcard out of it. Should have photo'd what I got-newspaper clippings, magazine sheets, fish photos, vintage book pages, stickers, string, etc. This is what my partner will get from me. (The 13 is my donation) It's already to mail and I hope she will be happy with what I put together. The little sign is on the back between the message and address. I have to get my envie out to my partner (not the same person as the recipient of this postcard) in Sweden!

Flower ATC

Another swap on Swap-bot - this time for Flowers. I really liked the way the Bird ATC turned out so I did the same layout. Alot of Ranger products here! This is the front.

This is the front flat out.

This is the inside. Partners haven't been picked yet. I hope the recipient enjoys!

Bird ATC Swap-Bot

Yeah, I'm playing with Swap-bot again. Here is my "double" ATC I did for my partner. This is how it looks closed.

Here it is flat out (front).

Here is the inside flat open. Hope she likes it!

Fun at the BAC

I went down to Belmar on Tuesday for a class with Michelle from Ranger. Got to play with lots of Ranger items. Here is my collage - Mother Nature. I used magazine photo, stickers, embossing powder, buttons, stamps, paper flowers, inks and paint. Much fun!

More for my A-Z Journal

Here are my pages for A, N, and S.

Working on A-Z

I'm playing with Alphabet-Discovery-Workshop doing alphabet pages. Here is my take on the few I have finished so far.

While out and about

I was out doing my Saturday thing, and looked out my window of my car and saw this building - not in great shape, but I loved the look. Had to shoot and alter it. What do you think?

For the birds

I made this birds from instruction from evbstudiohome - I have listed pictures in earlier posts. It's fun playing with clay! The only frustrating part is I use air dry and it takes a few days (or more) to dry. Arrrggggh!

Another Etsy listing

I just listed this piece called "spectrum". It's a mix of old papers, paint, ink, metal bits and more! This is my homage to Lisa Kaus.
