Busy Busy
Rainy Saturday. Ran errands, took a nap and completed a couple of swaps and a new design for a birthday card. The card may become a journal - not sure. I was blog hopping a couple of days ago and saw where an artist had done a christmas greeting and I loved it. This is my interpretation - it may be just a little toooooo busy. Its hard to stop!
This is actually a little bigger than an atc (measure twice cut once) and I couldn't figure out how to cut it down so I'm sending as is. I hope the recipient is okay with a little off. Both of these were for a collage challenge - swap-bot.

What to do when there's snow
And I mean ALOT of snow... I'd guess about a foot. So I stayed in and played!
This is the journal cover I worked on.

Zetti bird swap
These were made for a zetti bird swap on swap-bot. I have this thing for making ATC books. Inside are 4 pages for journalling, notes, whatever!

Round Robin Journal
Here is the page (all fabric!) that I did for Santa in the Inthishouseandgarden swap. Haven't sewed in a while, but it came out pretty much the way I wanted it too. Her theme is women create... hope she likes the page. Theres a mix of polymer clay (the sun and butterfly), and lots of other goodies! She plans on making a wall quilt when she gets it back.

new blocks!
The local art group I belong to is having our Christmas party on Friday night. There is usually 20ish attending. Everyone makes that same number of gifts and then each of us gets lots! The challenge is to come up with that many, inexpensive and quick. I go to yard sales and always look for the stuff that one day I can alter. These kid's alphabet blocks were such a deal - $2 for all 26 (2 couldn't fit on the scanner). So I gessoed, painted and collaged each one. The ones in the pix are my favorite of the 5 sides. I hope each enjoys their new old blocks!
