love those skinnies!

Two more swaps going out - the first "I" for Identity

and the other "5" just for the fun of it.

More swaps out

These are for a homemade postcard swap on swap-bot.

Jim Dine ala susi

Another for the inthishouseandgarden round robin.  This one is for Janet - and its for inspiring artists.  I have always loved Jim Dine - since his hearts came out about the time I was in high school.  Hearts are so cool too - these are made of wood and have been painted, stamped, crackled (white), inked and then covered with rock candy crackle paint.  Can't wait for the next journal to cross my doorstep!

Bird Swap at ATT

This is made for a swap at the Yahoo Group - All Things T!m.  As you have seen before, I love altering these boxes.  I hope Allie likes it too!

Remains of the Day Journals

Okay. So it seems as though every blog I go to, they are making some really fabulous journals all due to Mary Ann Moss.  So when I couldn't take it anymore, I signed up.  Within eight hours of getting the link from Mary Ann, I have made these 3, the previous post, and 2 others.  1 of which is my favorite and I can't find-as soon as I find I will post, unless of coarse I make oodles more (there is a blizzard coming).  Yes I am having a love affair (again) with my sewing machine.  I did do the scaps insert (just 1 so far) but not sure I am too happy with how it turned out - so I'm not sharing... yet.  This is very addictive - not just making the journals, but blog hopping to the zillion people who are making and sharing.  So if you like making things with fabric, paper and a sewing machine - you need to sign up - FAST - you'll be sorry you have to go to bed, go to work, because you won't want to stop!!!!!!

New Journal

Here is a journal I sewed and then added the flowers. Copics are my new absolute favorite markers - and I have a lot of markers. What a nice effect! What do you think?

Main Street swap

I signed up for a swap at Inthishouseandgarden to do 5 "buildings" from Main Street. Although it was a "block" building swap, I had asked Susie (hostess) if I could use these boxes instead. I tried to make each one a little different-

Buzz Inn: This has a couple of elements that I've had around for a while. Its a lattice box that I've attached bees to, added white vines, and included a little angel for the inside. The rose that's on top was made by Wendy Vecchi for a Tim Holtz class. This is the only one with a doll.

Mobile Home: I had gotten the truck a while ago, and decided with the box on top it looked like a mobile home, so I looked for items that might be stuck on the window... Inside are mini journals.

Fish Tales: I'm not sure why, but I have a thing about these fish. Inside are mini journals.

The Watch Tower: This is my favorite one. This was the second one I did. Inside - you guessed it - more journals.

Vintage Bird: This was my first one. I had gotten a bunch of bird ornaments after Christmas, and it kind of went from there. And yes, more journals!

I hope the recipient(s) likes them!

One World One Heart Giveaway

This is my first time playing along with the One World One Heart Giveaway, so please be patient while I lay out the rules and such.

To enter, all you need to do is leave only one comment to this post. Make sure you leave me a way of getting in contact with you should you be the winner! This year, the last day to leave a comment is February 14 by midnight- the winner will be chosen on February 15 via a random draw.

Okay, now for the fun stuff!

Here is a little better detail. I have such a problem getting a good shot if it doesn't fit on the scanner!

This is a 3 door cabinet tower topped off with a cute red metal roof bird house that has layers of bits and pieces of papers, both vintage and current, a vintage button, charms, and other assorted goodies. The measurements are approximate 3.5" wide, 15" tall and 3" deep. It has been finished off with several coats of gloss varnish.

I hope you will leave a comment! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine Swap Postcard

This was a fun swap - use 2 christmas cards to make a valentine postcard. Pretty happy the way this turned out although the scan isn't great. The dog is actually mylar and looks much better in person. Hopefully the recipient thinks so!

Love hearts swap

Here is my atc for the hearts swap on swap-bot.

Thank you angel

On a thank you card - the recipient loves angels.

Busy Busy

Rainy Saturday. Ran errands, took a nap and completed a couple of swaps and a new design for a birthday card. The card may become a journal - not sure. I was blog hopping a couple of days ago and saw where an artist had done a christmas greeting and I loved it. This is my interpretation - it may be just a little toooooo busy. Its hard to stop!

This is actually a little bigger than an atc (measure twice cut once) and I couldn't figure out how to cut it down so I'm sending as is. I hope the recipient is okay with a little off. Both of these were for a collage challenge - swap-bot.

New Journal just listed on Etsy

In between cooking my turkey and other christmastime festivities, I put together this new journal called TIME FLIES and listed it on Etsy.
