I took 2 classes yesterday - the first with Michael Demeng (cave of pages) and then Soul Sisters (Tracy Bunkers and Juliana Coles) at Art & Soul - Hampton VA.
Th first class was so much fun! Honestly, I never thought about taking a class with Michael - but I am so glad I did. Its hard to see, but there are many layers inside the window. The bunny and the base were from free trophies someone brought, and it was a last minute stroll in the store that I found them. I painted the bunny a vertigris color, and left the base plain. Before I left the class room, someone offered to buy it!
The next class was later in the evening and I think I had about 45 mins to get to the room, grab what I needed and get to class. The book is one I had put together a few weeks ago using an old book but when I gut the insides, I cut the spine, so I had to come up with another option. There are 2 signatures of water color paper in there.
The first spread is the first one I started. Wasn't sure where I was going with it, so started the next one. Then came back and finished it. Liked the angel so much wait till you see what I made today!
This spread was fun - just laid images down and handcolored with my copics, then added stamps and watercolor crayons.
